As a nurse in a dermatology clinic, I am very familiar with the frustration that flourishes when acne regimens are not successful. Up until one year ago, I was all too familiar with that feeling of disappointment as I was nearing thirty and still haunted by acne. I could bore you for hours with all the treatments I have tried in a decade's worth of time, but to keep it simple, I. Tried. Everything. including Accutane...twice. On an impromptu trip to Chicago, I met Magdalena through a groupon deal for an acne facial. My life, and skin, has never been the same. Magdalena sent me home with a personalized regimen, and plenty of acne information to keep me busy on my five hour trip home to Kentucky. Over the last 14 months, I have kept in touch with Magdalena, and she has modified my regimen as needed based on my personal reports and concerns--long-distance of course! I am happy to tell you that I. Am. Acne-Free (one year and going strong)! I was so excited to hear that Magdalena had released a website dedicated to individualized acne regimens because she has acne treatment down to a science...and I cannot thank her enough. I joke that there was life before Magdalena, and now there is life after Magdalena....and it is so much clearer ;o)

Everything everyone is saying is spot on!  I bought a groupon  for her studio that was titled "Acne Facial."  At that point I had been dealing with cystic acne like crazy and pretty much hated my life.  Magdalena has seriously transformed my skin and I have been with her for a year now and will never leave!  She knows her stuff and I've been recommending her to people left and right.  If you have problem skin and have bought out sephora like I did, GO TO MAGDALENA!  Best groupon of my life.

WOW! I am so, so impressed with my experience with Magdalena. From start to finish, my time with her was such a joy. She is very, very intelligent and takes the time to explain what she is doing and walk you through each process. She even explains what foods are good for your skin type! You can tell she has been very well trained. She is extremely gentle and also professional.  The space is beautiful, clean and relaxing. I do wish the treatments were more affordable; however, I will definitely be back.

Everything everyone is saying is absolutely right! If you are looking to improve your skin, it is worth your while to call Magdalena. Here are my favorite things:
Results: By far the most important thing. After 4 sessions, my skin is now consistently clear, all the time, as a result of Magdalena's facials and product recommendations. This has never happened before in my LIFE, and I am very, very thankful. I don't usually trust reviews where the person only had one session - I was looking for long term results, and I got what I wanted!
Expertise: Hands down, this is the most impressed I've been with any facial. Magdalena knows what she is talking about, both because she used to have bad skin (a great testament) and because she reads up and cares a lot about what she does. Too often, people associate cosmetics with topical solutions only. Magdalenda talks to you about vitamins and supplements, your diet, personal habits, AND topical solutions. This is not the old "don't eat greasy food". This is both diet and product recommendations targeted specifically to your skin condition.
Scheduling: Easy to schedule appointments, reschedule, and she sends you reminders; when you call you talk to Magdalena herself
Accessibility: Seriously, how many of the beauticians / estheticians / hair stylists that you've worked with would text with you on a Friday night because you weren't sure you were using your products right!?
Convenience: Right in the loop under the Hyatt. So close to my office that I can dart over there at lunch!
Relaxing and fun: This may sound weird, but you know that spa music they usually play to relax you but it is just annoying? Well I actually always fall asleep during my face mask at the end with Magdalena. The atmosphere is great and she always offers me a blanket and a bolster. She remembers what's going on in your life and is fun to chat with during the *customized* treatments.

Had a great facial with Magdalena yesterday. She's an acne expert!  Will update this review as I continue treatment based on her recommendations for my skin.  The prrof is in the pudding but, so far, I very highly recommend a facial with Magdalena
